Welcome to Milk Crate #75. Yes, you read that correctly, this is the 75th Milk Crate we’ve curated to not only bring you new music, but to raise money for charities like Dear Jack Foundation and Direct Relief International. That’s nearly 400 new songs we got to share with the world to promote positive change!
First timer? Not to worry! Here’s the lowdown. Milk Crater donates to charity every time you listen to a song on our site or interact with one of our posts on social media. It’s that simple. You listen to dope new music, we donate to organizations that need it.
1“Black & Blue” – Maria Kelly
Maria Kelly has knocked it out of the park with “Black & Blue.” Understated and poignant, the flawless instrumentation is the perfect frame for her unique and delicate voice. Though the lyrics are a bit melancholic, the song itself is upbeat and hopeful, with beautifully strummed guitar and drums that rise and fall with energy throughout. Quite a catchy tune and surely a sign of good things to come from Maria!
2“Send My Love” – Adele (Viga Remix Ft. Sofia Karlberg)
Genre: Chill House
It’s actually pretty unfair how awesome this remix is. Viga and Sofia Karlberg have done a phenomenal job of interpreting Adele’s smash hit as a more relaxed, tropical-sounding track. Not to mention, Sofia’s voice is the perfect complement to the drum-heavy house beat. This is the perfect track for chilling beachside sipping a frozen beverage complete with mini-umbrella. Go catch some sun while Viga sends some love.
3“Thief” – Ookay
What’s better than grimey trap, freestyle dancing, positive messaging, and funky saxophone? Trick question. Nothing. Ookay’s new music video for his track “Thief” bundles all of that together and more to create a visually impressive and heart-warming experience set to a track that will have you dancing along with the people on your screen.
4“The Age of Man” – Diva Faune
Genre: Indie Pop
French duo Diva Faune is coming in hot. After playing all over France and London, and opening for acts like Coasts and Chris Pureka, Yogan and Jérémy are ready to take the rest of the world by storm once they release their upcoming EP later this year. One listen to “The Age of Man” and you’ll know exactly what I mean. High-energy and enthusiastic, the song is all the best parts of Milky Chance and Plain White T’s and will definitely keep your toes a-tappin’.
5“Out of the Woods” – Taylor Swift (Toy Armada & DJ GRIND Anthem Mix)
This remix of TayTay’s single is everything I could have ever dreamed of and more. The original version, while excellent, can be a bit repetitive given that the chorus is made up of only 2 sentences. However, if you up the tempo, give it a solid beat, and add a dollop of trance, it’s clear that “Out of the Woods” was written to be remixed. Bonus points to the video edit that makes TS look like she is flapping her arms like a bird with every sample of “I remember!” So good.
