Milk Crate #57

And just like that…another month has come and gone. Abracadabra. Poof. Oblivion.

How’s that for a sobering way to start a Milk Crate? Luckily, my music selections are intoxicating enough to reverse any sobriety I may have inadvertently forced upon you.

If this is your first time visiting Milk Crater, we are a bit different than other music blogs. We put a charitable twist on this whole thing. Every time you listen to a song, we donate to charity. We donate 90% of our ad revenue straight to causes we care about. So listen away with reckless abandon. You never know, you just might add a couple of favorites to your list.

1“First Light” – Dustin Tebbutt

Genre: Singer-Songwriter

It’s not often that a song is able to conjure a perfectly crystalline image of it’s namesake, but “First Light” does just that. I could spend hours romanticizing my love for Dustin’s signature brand of gentle acoustic pop, but let’s just say it creates a sense of otherworldly beauty. It is musical tranquility.

2“As Our Witness” – Piers Baron

Genre: Electronic / Experimental / Cinematic

An absolute tour de force of sonic explosion. Piers finds a sound that dynamically pulls you into the midst of a tumultuous storyline with perfect ebb and flow.

5“Bright Side” – Vicetone ft. Cosmos & Creature (Two Friends Remix)

Genre: Electronic

Throw your hands up and dance it out. You know you want to. This Two Friends flip is almost too feel good.

6“Follow” – Lucian feat. Sleeper

Genre: Electro Pop

I would gladly follow this song into the depths of the dark blue abyss. Brooding electronics multiply in volume and clash with vocals that hop from step to step in brilliant fashion.
