Milk Crate #11

If you’ve been tracking along with our Milk Crates, we’ve done a pretty decent job of hitting genres all over the map. You may have noticed that we haven’t hit on a couple key ones. Namely free acid jazz, vaporwave, or metal! You will need to stay tuned for the first two, but boy oh boy do we have a metal track for you this time.

*We put it at number 5 so that we don’t scare you away before listening to 1 – 4. It’s heavy…

If you are new to Milk Crater, each day we are posting five new tracks that are the best of the best from genres all over the map. Every time you listen to a track, we make a donation to charity. Why? Because the only thing more awesome than discovering new tunes is making the world a better place while discovering new tunes!

If you love what we are doing, please consider earning your superhero points and spreading the word far and wide. Don’t be afraid to shout it from every rooftop you find…and then like us on facebook ūüôā

1“Dorothy” – Kevin Morby

Rising from the ashes of fuzzed-out guitar, a warbling horn section, and plunked ivories, “Dorothy” is an unstoppable force. Kevin is giving that bolo tie a good name.

Our first look at The Paul Institute is brought to us by A.K. Paul in the form of an expertly warped and shaped cut that probes before taking you for the ride of your life.

4“Nowhere To Be Found” – Frances Luke Accord

Frances Luke Accord strings together a beautiful acoustic song that stays light on its feet. This is what the singer-songwriter genre is all about.

5“Orange Mathematics” –¬†Frontierer

Sometimes you just need to blow off some steam and let your mind turn itself inside out. This is one of the most frenetic and well-composed metal songs I have ever heard. Unbelievable.
