Moones Stuns with “Slow Release”

There are some songs which come together seamlessly and completely as a sum of its many parts. It’s a rare occurrence, but when it happens it borders on real life magic. The hairs on the back of you neck stand up, a tingling sensation shoots down your back and a smile passes silently across your lips. That is the feeling I get when I listen to “Slow Release” by Moones. Seriously, let’s talk about that harmony around 22 seconds in. I melt.

Moones is made up of three parts – Laurent Barnard (found of the punk rock band Gallows), Tariq Khan (brother of Natasha Khan aka Bat For Lashes), and Ollie Kristian (formerly of The Leisure Society). “Slow Release” is off of their debut album, Modern Music Moguls.
